INTERACTIVE ENVIRONMENT

The sim is interactive, meaning much of it has been scripted to offer dialog and interaction when clicked. You can fight Infected, hunt, fish, scavenge, and more... Some times you may find junk... other times you may find valuable trade goods... and on rare occasions superior items can be found which can change your characters story drastically...  You might save a life and get a bodyguard that doubles your attack rolls... or find a Fire Ruby that can be affixed to a weapon for a bonus to attacks. The loot economy will always be growing and changing as new lore and races are uncovered. Start clicking on the things you see and add more to your story!

THE SPREADING PLAGUE

It's only been about two years since the living have seen the first appearance of the infected and, in that time, it has made its way through the land, consuming nearly every race, creature, and plant that it can spread to. Thankfully, elves have survived by their magic and humans by their sheer tenacity and numbers. Many have died. Many have lost everything. Those infected by the plague move on a path of deterioration; animals, humans, and elves remain semi-intelligent and, in some cases, coherent while the disease completely and utterly controls them and their body. They are overcome with a yearning for flesh and blood, a yearning to expand the reach of the infection, a yearning to spread an unpitying disease. At one point, it was thought that those who had succumbed to the plague were lost but the cure was found in those who were unable to give up what they knew in a life before death. There is hope but it is difficult to see it, especially beyond the overwhelming waves of dark red that coat everything that once was.
